Basically, I’ve installed the game twice. The first time, my save file disappeared from the game, but the “.sav” file was still inside the saves folder. I deleted everything related to Ship of Harkinian and reinstalled the game with different files. I thought the save might have gotten corrupted because I was using some enhancements from the options menu and a few texture pack mods, so this time I played completely vanilla.

Everything seemed fine until I turned off the game and resumed playing later. Then Ship of Harkinian started crashing a few seconds after launch. From what I read, it was apparently another save-related issue, and people recommended simply replacing the original save with the “temp” file. That worked and I was able to recover my save data.

My question is: is there any way to stop the saves from getting corrupted? Is there any setting or option I should avoid? I’d appreciate any help.
