8GB RAM upgrade completed on my lite

Finally got around to doing the 8GB RAM mod on my switch and I’m really happy with how it turned out!

I did have one little scare while cleaning the pads with desoldering braid. I exposed a few traces underneath where the ram chips go. Nothing was damaged, but I didn’t want to leave them exposed, so I covered them with some UV solder mask before soldering the new chips on.

Overall, I’d say the mod is actually pretty simple if you’re already comfortable using a hot air rework station. Just make sure the chips are properly aligned before soldering them onto the board.

I paid €19 for each chip on Ali. The price was very low, so I think they’re used chips. bought four just in case one was bad, but they all worked on the first try :)

Sonic The Hedgehog 2006 Port On Nintendo Switch

The game has a sound problem and lags; without overclocking, it's unplayable and the sound will disappear after any time.

Is there any way to reduce the input lag in Moonlight?

I'm playing DBD through Moonlight, streaming directly from my PC (the native Switch version is kinda choppy, and I'd also have to pay for NSO). It's 90% playable, but the problem is that during skill checks I sometimes have to predict when to press because of the input lag. Is there any way to make Moonlight reduce the latency, even if it means using more of my network bandwidth?

Can you use Tico for my switch games? (i like it more than stock menu)

I feel like the tittle explain it already.

Integration with SteamGrid is a game changer for me, i really wanna have a better "main menu" for the switch, Themezer themes are not the same

Installed sys-con. Dock not working anymore. Please help

I installed sys con to get generic Xbox 360 wired controllers working great via a usb hub plugged directly into the consoles USB C port, however when docked the switch won’t output to the tv anymore however charging is working ok,

I deleted the sys con files from atmosphere and config folders and rebooted but it still hasn’t fixed the issue :/

Any ideas?
Please help.

Modded Oled switch e-shops download not exceeding 6 Mb/S

Hello everyone .. I have subscribed with magic monkei to have better availability and download speed as well .. So, I have tried to use all available foils ( magic monkei app, cyberfoil and tinfoil ) all are working well but the speed is not exceeding 6 mb/s ..

Here are my setup :

* Ethernet connected though the Dock

* Home Internet speed 1 gb/s

* Original Sandisk 1 TB sd card - with Read 190 mb and write 130 mb .. https://a.co/d/02sBA0nt

* Latest firmware on switch

* latest foils apps

I tried all possible solutions to improve the speed with no luck .. Changing DNS, changing to 1500 MTU, overclocking switch.

What did I miss, and what should I do to improve the speed performance ?

Note: loading games and apps has no issue at all, SD card performance and benchmarking is fine and speed reachs to 95 mb/s ..

Looking forward for your kind help .. 🙏

Trying to mod an oled switch. But getting a purple screen.

For diode values

C point 0.649

A point 0.456

D point 0.619

B is 0.893

The chip glitches the switch to picofly page no sd. Its only when i try to bypass using power + vol -/+ it will go to purple screen when trying to load ofw.

I checked online about point a if its dislodge or broken. Thats when I do forward bais i get 0.456 and when I try to see if one side is short only one side goes to the ground other side does not short to ground. I tried to ohm it and the value is about 1.098 M ohms. When i Googled this type of troubleshooting it says 4.7kohms but I did not remove for accurate measurement...

Im looking for suggestions... coz other oled I've modded didn't end up like this. I do not think the emmc is the issue coz when I remove the modchip it loads to ofw.

Storage is expensive, and my sd card seems to be failing. Is there a way to use HDDs? Or even USBs? Or maybe you know a way to save my sd card ?

My SD card situation:

Games started taking up to 7-8 min to load in, and if I reinstalled them they started right up. But then other games started to take longer to load... It was enough of an annoyance that I didn't boot my switch up for a few months now

SD Card prices crazy high rn - what should I buy on a budget for switch homebrew?

The SD cards that people on this sub recommended 6 months ago used to be $30 USD for 512GB; right now 512GB is around $90-110, if you're lucky enough to find it in stock. (Like the Samsung EVO 512, which is out of stock new on amazon, but has a "used" option for $99.)

Is there any reputable SD card that would work to a homebrew a switch with that's ballpark $50? I know 512GB is ideal, but I'm fine for less storage if it works and is affordable. I mostly play slow paced games like animal crossing and hollow knight and pokopia, nothing too intensive, and never online. If prices ever come down (lol) I'll upgrade to 512 later. Is there a cheaper but reputable 512GB I'm not seeing? (Note: I'm in the US and stuck paying fuckass tariffs). Cheers fellas.

Turned my Android tablet into a portable Switch monitor with SysDVR. 🔥

Finally got SysDVR working. My Switch is now streaming straight to my Lenovo tablet over Wi-Fi. No dock, no HDMI dongle—just play. 🎮📱

Will the switch ever be capable of emulating PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube and Wii?

How is the current situation with emulating PS2 on V1 switch? I would like to play KH1&2, DQ8 portable. Is the bottleneck not having optimized emulators or the switch's hardware?
