I am so scared i broke my console, please help (Newly modded device)

Hi, so i just got a modded chip installed. I followed the guide but then everything was working with HATS installed and atmosphere and hekate. Then there was this tile of a game that was grey and kept loading, so i accidently pressed 'update'. Then when i tried to load my emmumc again, the screen was yellow and I couldn't enter anymore. Because i was in panic mode, i accidently also wiped the sycmumc and now I can only enter the normal side of the nintendo switch but not by launching in hekate anymore. I need your help!! Like please I'm such a noob but i just want to have fun playing games. If any kind soul on here want's to help me it's very much appreciated!

The two main issues: yellow screen with booting in hekate when booting in sycmmc there is the message: No mandatory pkg1 files provided. Please I'm freaking out, and i get that I'm not good at this lol! I'm really trying.

I do have a backup from the original NAND but honestly i tried to restore it and it was just the same? I don't know what I did wrong :(

I literally have such a nauseous stress feeling constantly because of this. I really want to fix it and i would never just do things randomly again because look where that got me ..

How do I get this glowy beauty lighting look? My footage looks flat & washed out

I need your help.

I’m trying to achieve this kind of look in my beauty videos (the first photo), but I’m really struggling with my lighting. My footage looks very flat, washed out and doesn’t have that bright, glowy, dimensional look at all. I really need it to finally be happy with how my content looks.

I currently have an Amaran/Aputure 200d + Light Dome SE, and I’m using the diffusion that came with the Dome. I don’t have the honeycomb grid.

I’ve tried placing the softbox to the side at around 45°, but my results still look really flat compared to this. I’m wondering if I’m positioning the light incorrectly, using the wrong diffusion, or if I’m simply missing another light.

What would you change about my setup to get as close as possible to this look? I’m specifically looking for that bright, soft, glowy skin while still keeping the face dimensional and the background slightly darker.

I’d really appreciate specific advice on light placement, distance, diffusion, power, camera settings, and whether I need another light. I’m willing to change my setup. I just want to understand what’s actually making such a big difference in the reference photo.

Help me decide what size Hoka bondi 9 (First time Hoka :))

Hi all! I have a hard time deciding what size of Hoka Bondi 9 i should keep. Left is size 9 US and right is size 9.5 US. Normally in other shoes I’m a size 8.5 but i have been thinking that is a little small now for me, so i was already thinking about sizing up whenever i would buy new shoes. The left 9.5 feels wider than the right which i might like, i’m just scared that it will be too big. And the right 9 US feels okay length wise but my toes on the sides touch the walls so it’s more narrow. I’m not sure if that is supposed to be that way.
It’s crazy to me i’m almost one and a half size up from what i normally have, that’s why all the confusion :) I ordered them online and didn’t have a chance to fit them in store so I would really appreciate some guidance. Thank you so much! 💌

Is buying a compact camera for this aesthetic worth it, or is my Iphone 17 pro enough?

Hi everyone! 🌸

I’ve been seeing the Canon G7 X Mark II absolutely everywhere on TikTok and Instagram, and at first I was convinced I wanted one too. But the more photos I looked at, the more I felt like they often have a really warm/orange tone that I’m personally not a huge fan of. I also think it’s of-course very hyped and the price is a big dealbreaker.

On top of that, after reading a lot of posts in this subreddit, it seems like it’s become pretty overhyped and overpriced because of social media.

Now I’m looking at the Canon IXUS 285 instead. I uploaded Instagram photos as an example of the aesthetic I’m trying to achieve. I love that nostalgic point-and-shoot look with direct flash, soft lighting, and natural colors. I just never get these kind of pictures like she does in the photos with my phone. But that might be a skill issue on my part.

The only thing making me hesitate is that I already own an iPhone 17 Pro. So now I’m wondering if I should just buy a standalone flash for my phone instead of spending €300–400 on a compact camera.

I’d love your opinions:
Is the Canon IXUS 285 a good choice for this kind of aesthetic? the girl in the picture does have the pink ixus 132 or 133 i believe.

Are there better compact cameras you’d recommend in the same price range?

Or would an iPhone 17 Pro with an external flash get me close enough to this look?

Country: Netherlands
Budget: Around €300–400 (used is fine).
Condition: Used or new.
Type of Camera: Compact point-and-shoot.
Intended use: Mainly photography.
End use: Instagram and TikTok.
Photography style: Lifestyle, portraits, travel, everyday moments, flash photography.
Video style: Casual social media videos.
Must-have features: Pocketable, good colors straight out of the camera, built-in flash (unless an iPhone + external flash is the better option).
Nice-to-have features: Optical zoom and decent low-light performance.
Portability: Pocketable.
Cameras I’m considering: Canon IXUS 285 (currently my favorite) and I was originally considering the Canon G7 X Mark II.
Cameras I already have: iPhone 17 Pro.

Notes: I’m mainly chasing the aesthetic in the uploaded photo. Thanks in advance for any recommendations!

[Request] Donate to Help Me Get My Life Back, 5 Years of Vulvodynia, organized by Sam Mulder

Hi, my name is Sam. I’m 22 years old and I’m from the Netherlands.

For the past few years, I’ve been living with severe vulvodynia, a chronic pain condition that causes constant burning pain every single day. This isn’t pain that only happens during intimacy. It’s there when I wake up, when I walk, when I sit, when I wear clothes, and even when I’m trying to relax. Living with pain every day has affected every part of my life.

I’ve spent years searching for answers. I’ve seen multiple specialists, tried medications, creams, pelvic floor therapy, and many other treatments, but nothing has provided lasting relief. There were times when I felt like I would never know why I was in so much pain.
A few weeks ago, I travelled from the Netherlands to San Diego to see one of the world’s leading vulvar pain specialists. During my evaluation, a biopsy was taken from my vestibular tissue. The results showed a significantly increased number of mast cells, finally providing an explanation for the pain I’ve been living with for years.

After reviewing my biopsy and examining me, my specialist concluded that I need a complete vestibulectomy with a buccal mucosal graft. For the first time in years, I finally have a diagnosis, a treatment plan, and hope that I may be able to live without constant pain.

Today, I received the estimate for the surgery.
I couldn’t stop crying.

As an international patient, none of these medical costs are covered by my insurance. The surgery, surgical facility, anaesthesia, pathology, travel, accommodation, and follow-up care will cost far more than I can ever afford as a 22-year-old student.
Asking for help is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. I’ve always believed I could figure things out on my own, but this is simply beyond my financial reach.

This surgery isn’t about improving my quality of life a little. It’s about giving me the chance to live normally again. To sit without pain. To walk comfortably. To focus on my future instead of constantly thinking about the burning pain that has controlled my life for years. To be able to study again!

If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, you would be helping me get one step closer to the surgery that could completely change my life.
If you’re unable to donate, sharing my fundraiser would mean the world to me and help my story reach others.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my story and for any support you can give. I truly appreciate it more than words can express.

$69,000 for an outpatient vestibulectomy. I’m devastated and don’t know what to do.

Hi everyone,

I’m a 22-year-old woman from the Netherlands, and I honestly don’t know what to do anymore.

After years of constant burning pain, I finally travelled to San Diego to see Dr. Alyssa Dweck Yee. After my examination and biopsy, I was diagnosed with acquired neuroproliferative vestibulodynia with increased mast cells. She recommended a complete vestibulectomy with a buccal mucosal graft.
I knew travelling to the US would be expensive, but I genuinely expected the total cost to be somewhere around $10,000–20,000. When I received the estimate today while being back in my home country, I burst into tears.

The total estimate is almost $69,000, and that’s already the discounted self-pay price. The original estimate was close to $250,000. What shocked me even more is that this isn’t even an inpatient surgery, it’s an outpatient procedure, so I won’t even be staying overnight in the hospital.

Because I live in the Netherlands, I don’t have US health insurance, so everything has to be paid out of pocket. Unfortunately, my Dutch insurance won’t cover treatment like this abroad.

I’m absolutely devastated because after years of pain, I finally felt like I had found a surgeon I trusted and a chance to get my life back. Now it feels completely out of reach.

Has anyone else, especially international patients, experienced something similar? Were you able to negotiate the hospital costs further, or did the final bill end up being lower than the estimate? And if anyone knows of another surgeon with experience performing a complete vestibulectomy with a buccal mucosal graft, especially in Europe, I would be so grateful to hear about it.

Thank you so much for reading. ❤️

Surgery estimate is $68,736 (€59k+)… I don’t know what to do anymore

Hi everyone,
I’m a 22-year-old student from the Netherlands and I recently had a consultation with Dr. Alyssa Yee for surgery to treat my severe vulvodynia.

I just received the cost estimate and I’m devastated. Dr. Yee’s surgeon fee is around $4,800, which I could somehow manage. But the hospital fee alone is over $63,000, bringing the total estimate to $68,736. Ever since I opened the estimate, all I’ve been able to do is cry.

There is simply no way I can afford that.
Unfortunately, this surgery isn’t performed in my country, so travelling to the US is my only option.

What also confused me is that during my consultation Dr. Yee performed a biopsy. (Which was positive for elevated mastcells) She told me I wouldn’t have to pay anything beyond what I had already prepaid, and even said I might receive a refund from the hospital. But after I got back home to the Netherlands, I unexpectedly received another bill from Scripps for over $600 for the biopsy. I contacted the hospital and they explained that they charge separate facility fees for the biopsy. That was already a shock, and now seeing this surgery estimate has completely broken me.

Has anyone else had surgery with Dr. Yee at Scripps? Were your hospital fees this high? Were you able to negotiate them, receive financial assistance, or have any success lowering the hospital charges? I have to pay out of pocket because my insurance here can’t cover it or any insurance in the netherlands won’t, and i can’t get US insurance.

Any advice or experiences would mean so much right now. Thank you. ❤️

I honestly felt like even traveling that long was for nothing and going there. My heart feels broken.

First time in San Diego: Zoo question

Hi everyone in San Diego! 😊

My friend and I are visiting San Diego from the Netherlands this July, and one of the things we're excited about is visiting the San Diego Zoo!

Since we're both students, I figured it couldn't hurt to ask: if you never ask, the answer is always no. I'm trying to save money wherever I can, especially since I've heard San Diego can be so expensive. I'll actually be in San Diego not only for a little holiday, but also for a medical appointment, so we're trying to keep our trip as affordable as possible.

I was wondering if anyone happens to have a Zoo membership with unused guest discounts or any discount tickets they won't be using. If so, it would genuinely help us out so much, and I'd be really grateful.

Also, if you have any recommendations for must-visit spots, hidden gems, great food, or fun things to do that aren't super touristy, I'd love to hear them! We'd much rather experience the places that locals love than only the typical tourist attractions.

Thank you so much for reading. I can't wait to visit San Diego! 💗

Hi everyone!! I need your help 🌻

I’ve been seeing so many photos taken with the Canon G7X Mark III lately and I honestly think they look so beautiful. The colors feel really nicely saturated and flattering, and the overall quality just looks amazing, especially for vacation photos and capturing lovely moments.

I’ve been thinking about starting to document my life more. I deal with chronic pain and have a lot of ups and downs, and I feel like it would mean a lot to have something to look back on later. I also feel like I could really use a bit of a confidence boost and finally take photos of myself that I actually find pretty ☺️

I know the G7X Mark III is really hyped on social media right now, but it’s also really expensive and that makes me hesitate a bit. I know quality is worth a price of course, but I really want to ask people that know way better than me their opinion! that's why I'm posting this question on here.

I’m going on a beach vacation soon and I would love to take beautiful photos of my family, nature, and maybe even myself if someone manages to capture me in a nice way.

So I was wondering if anyone knows of a camera that gives a similar look or quality but is maybe a bit more affordable. I’d really appreciate any advice 🤍

Love,
Sam

Here an additional filled out questionnaire:

Budget: I'm young so the lowest price I could get for great quality is highly appreciated!

Country: The Netherlands

Condition: New or used, it doesn't matter to me! If it still works great then that's perfect.

Type of Camera: Point & shoot (but i'm open to recommendations)

Intended use: Photography mostly +/ video

End use: Social media, Scrap books, Room decor

If photography: what style: Portrait & Landscape

If video what style: Vlogging, aesthetic footage, meaningful storytelling.

What features would be nice to have: Viewfinder would be nice I think, i'm very new so not entirely sure.

Portability: I would love to be able to put it in a handbag/ backpack to take to everything basically

Cameras you're considering: G7X Mark III (But I'm so so open to alternatives(!!!))

Cameras you already have: Some old film camera's. I like the film look.
