We visited a Volvo dealer that also sells used cars to look at a Volvo V60 T5 2019 with the Aisin 8-Speed transmission. The owner told us that it is not necessary to change the transmission oil because Volvo claims it is “lifetime” fluid. However, I believe that may not be correct. What do you mechanics think about this? And where can I check the official service interval for this transmission—not from Volvo, but directly from Aisin itself?
