Selling Leads vs. Percentage of Sale?
I am starting on a new idea that will hopefully help me quit my day job and focus more on my family. The idea is to gather super-qualified leads via an ROI projection tool for marketers wanting to test a specific marketing niche. When putting in some info about their company to get the ROI projection, they will select a box allowing me to share their info with an agency.
The dilemma is I am debating if I should sell each lead, or if I should offer each lead for free, then get say 10% of the sale? I have made my tool so that only businesses with a $20k+ budget go to the agencies.
Obviously, I am a newbie, so I am not even sure it will work. But I have my tool and website in progress, and I have everything automated, so it should run smoothly. My questions are:
- Should I sell the leads or ask for a percentage of the sale?
- How do I get people to the projection tool/landing page to eventually hand off?
- Any pointers for pitching this to agencies?
Any and all help is appreciated! :)
