Avoiding triggers? Sure, Jan.
In all seriousness, I have been in a bad flare for around 6 weeks with hives on my face and scalp, which is a new place for me. I cannot pinpoint a trigger, or rather, it literally could be anything. I am dairy, gluten and nightshade free, and i'm now avoiding even more foods that are high in histamine, even though I have no idea whether that is where the problem is. I need to do PT in the swimming pool for lipidema, and i'm wondering about chlorine? But I am supposed to do this therapy for the rest of my life, so how can I possibly avoid this? I am essentially trapped in my house because fragrance is such a huge trigger, but deliveries from amazon or even groceries smell like cologne or hand cream.
This is a very difficult, frustrating and lonely way to live. I'm not on Ketotifen as well as H1 and H2 inhibitors. Cromolyn did not work for me. I may start on Rhapsido at some point, but I have other complicated health issues that preclude me from adding anything new right now.
Please, any advice on how to cope with MCAS significantly negatively affecting your lives is appreciated!
