I pay support for my daughter and will continue to pay until she graduates from early college. But She just messaged me today saying she wants to move in with me when she turns 18 this summer. I know if this happens her mom‘s probably gonna try to skip out of playing child support. My question is now that she’s 18 does the custody paper even matter and our paperwork does say whoever she stays with the longest needs to pay child support. I don’t even need the money. I would definitely put it in a savings so my daughter can have a stepping stone when she goes to college at the end of the next year. If she doesn’t pay, should I even pursue this or just eat it and be happy my daughter is gonna be kicking it with me till she graduates.
