Dr. Martens vegan range leaving!
Hi everyone, I went to Dr. Martens a couple of weeks ago and they told me they will be phasing out and getting rid of the vegan line eventually as it doesn’t sell well and it’s not ‘environmentally friendly’ as they’re plastic and end up in landfill! 😭 I had a little ‘debate’ with the worker about how farming cows is probably so much less environmentally friendly but she didn’t like that answer too much 🙄 anyway I don’t know if this is common knowledge but I thought I’d make everyone aware in case you’re thinking of getting any soon!! (I did message Nicole Whittle (veganbeautygirl) the day I found out in case she wanted to spread the word but she hasn’t read the message yet so I thought I’d just do it myself on here!)
EDIT - to be clear, I was not arguing with the retail worker, just having a polite conversation about the sustainability of both types of shoes. However, she was quite fixed in her ways and didn’t really want to hear me out unfortunately, but I was calm and respectful throughout the conversation and left after a few minutes :)
