Where can i get vegan cheese and onion flavored crisps?

There's a great selection of vegan crisps out there but they never make vegan cheese and onion or sour cream and onion which i miss! Are there any brands that do them?

For those upset with Yo! Sushi adding non-vegan ingredients...I raise you Lidl vegan sushi!!

I'm yet to report on the taste, but looks FANTASTIC!

Edit: Okay, I can't actually find where I saw that Yo! Sushi was being discontinued in Tesco. Should I delete?

National Trust soft serve no longer vegan

I can not describe the disappointment. I was here not that long ago so it's a recent change. I'm now sitting at a table in the sun without my ice cream.

Customer feedback and confused people with legume allergies apparently? My god people suck

Would you feel comfortable eating 'may contain' baked goods?

So, i'm hoping to start up a little from home bakery business, making vegan cakes, cookies, traybakes, cookie pies, etc.

However, although everything is cooked in a vegan household, some items, such as dairy free chocolate have a may contain dairy due to the manufacturing processes.

Would you prefer to buy a more affordable product that has a risk of cross contamination? Or would you rather pay a bit more to ensure there is no cross-contamination?

Edit: Thanks everyone, I will be informing customers that it is made to a vegan recipe, in a vegan household but there will be a risk of cross-contamination due to manufacturing processes so all customers can make an informed decision 😄

Wet dog food that doesn’t break the bank?

Looking at switching my dog to a vegan diet. We currently give her a mix of dry and wet food. V-dog dry food looks like decent value for money, and not much of a price difference in the dry food we currently give her. But I can’t seem to find affordable vegan wet food? We currently pay £19 for 18 x 390g cans. All the vegan wet foods I’ve found seem to be double that price. I’m debating batch cooking some wet food for her (this obviously wouldn’t be her main source of nutrients, it’s just to top the dry food and make it more tasty) but we don’t have much freezer space. Any recommendations?

I think I'm done with Wagamama after this latest delivery

I used to love Wagas. It's not a vegan chain but they used to have loads of plant-based options and made a big deal about it being better environmentally. It was a good vibe.

But they've been cutting back on vegan options for a while now, they've stopped talking about the environment and they've also gotten really expensive for what you actually get.

Anyway. Tonight I ordered the shitake mushroom donburi. Started eating it... And realised it was beef instead of mushroom.

It was definitely beef. Some mushrooms can have a meaty, umami quality, but after a few mouthfuls I got suspicious about the texture, then smell. Checked with my wife (who's not vegan). Conclusion: beef. A big bowl of beef seeping into the whole rest of the dish. And so into the bin it went.

I'm sure it was an honest mistake, probably someone who'd made 10 beef dishes already and just went on auto pilot. (I still posted a one-star review explaining what happened.) And I got a very easy credit refund on the delivery app.

It's just disappointing. I know the purists say if you buy from places that cook meat, don't be surprised if you end up with meat. But I always thought Wagamama was a pretty safe choice.

I don't really like to give a place a second chance when they do something this egregious. So I think this is it for me and Wagamama, especially after the direction they're taking.

Anyone else got a chain that let them down? And any recommendations instead?

EDIT: It turns out this might have been mushroom after all from reading the comments. I'm still not 100% convinced, as it looked more like the beef brisket with sesame seeds on then the mushroom version.

Also, if it was actually vegan I'm disappointed with Wagamama for not labelling it as a mock meat dish even though they've clearly had plenty of feedback that vegans ordering it think it's meat. This is misleading and causes unnecessary confusion, as the menu suggests you'll get something recognisably mushroom not something that looks, tastes and smells like beef.

The Dire State of Meal Deal Options

When did the state of the standard meal deal options get so dire ? Hoison no duck seems to have largely disappeared. We're back to dry falafel or Sainsbury's goujons ... Sigh. How can someone many people just want to eat meat and dairy every fracking meal ....

Mr kipling vegan alternatives?

My toddler has egg and milk allergies so we rely a lot on vegan alternatives (plus since i have a milk intolerance and breastfed for 33 months i feel wrong consuming dairy milk knowing the effort it takes!) but we are at the stage where he is constantly bummed out that he can’t eat certain treats.

I know oggs brand is pretty good and there are a few cake type brands but has anyone come across mr kipling type cakes that are vegan? He is desperate to try a Battenberg but theres absolutely no way my baking skills could stretch to that!

Edinburgh and Lothian East vegans.

Hi,

I (32M) and my partner (26F) live just outside Edinburgh and we are looking to meet other vegans in the capital and around, hopefully making some friends along the way. We enjoy most outdoor activities, food and arts. I want to get back into golf sometime and rock climbing if anyone is keen for those.

Thanks :)

Best vegan takeaway in London?

In London by myself today, whats the best takeaway place to eat near Covent Garden, British Museum or Kings Cross? So I don’t have to dine by myself.

Many thanks in advance.

Became vegan about two weeks ago, how am I doing??

I’ve only snagged these two pictures and they were by far the most ‘attractive’ looking meals (there have been some uggo plates let me tell you 😭) but I’ve been having so much fun being creative with meals - when I ate an omnivorous diet I was so lazy and I rarely cooked or was so intentional about nutrition!

First one:

- Mixed leaf salad, cucumbers and red sweet peppers in an olive oil, balsamic and maple syrup dressing
- Squeaky bean chorizo
- lidl no-chicken schnitzel (so yummy but I can’t find it in store atm)
- a dollop of Lidl guacamole
- mixed grains

Second one:

- Asda organic tofu
- Tesco plant menu chicken pieces (not too keen on them though)
- pan fried in and seasoned with soy sauce, chilli soybean crisp and garlic
- long grain rice and bulgar wheat
- Black beans
- Green lentils

Does anyone know why this says not suitable for egg allergy if it’s vegan?

(Have an egg allergy as well). Do we think they are covering themselves ‘just in case’?
