Supermarket tofu rankings?

I'm currently obsessed with sainsburys organic extra firm tofu and it has a great texture and is pretty cheap. Sadly i can't get to sainsburys that often atm.

What is your favourite tofu when it comes to texture and price?

Babylons Ashes: When does the book kick into gear?

I'm half way through BA atm. I took a few months to read other books after NG and was excited to get back into the series but I'm finding it a bit of a slog.

I'm still enjoying the book it's just I'm exactly half through and not a lot has really happened. When does everything start to kick off?

Overall I'm still enjoying it because I love most of the characters so much. The only one I'm struggling with is Inaros. Like I know he's evil. He's a narcissist that's committed the biggest genocide in history but despite that I just... don't seem care much about him as an antagonist. Did anyone else feel this way?

I don't need to tense anything, I just like, open my ear lobes?

The title pretty much. I just read that people need tense their jaw in some way. For me, its like I have a muscle somewhere in my ear canal somewhere and, if I relax it, I get the rumbling noise.

Downside is, if I do it too much, I my ears ache and I get a headache.

Blasphemy in the staff room?

Bit of an odd one. I work at a very small school (PRU) and a member or staff who is particularly religious has just announced to all staff how they're fed up with all the swearing they hear in the staff room, but particularly the blasphemy and has asked us to stop the latter.

Now I'm very careful not to blaspheme when I'm speaking to this person directly as are all the staff, but I continue to do it in their presence when I'm speaking to other people. Its just part of how I speak.

I'm not 100% sure how to take this. Do I just carry on as I am or is it actually very rude to do that, and I should stop? What would a union likely say about their request?

Fostering as a single teacher.

I'm an UQT that's considering fostering. I know some of the basic requirements in my county and I meet most of them, and the ones that I don't, it won't take much to meet those as well.

The main issue I have is my availability during the day. I'm quite lucky that, as an UQT, my job is really just to 'teach these pre-planned lessons'. I get to work at 8 and I'm usually out by 3:30 or by 2:30 on Fridays. I work at a PRU so I have a lot of experience with children with difficult home lives.

SLT are generally quite supportive and I believe there would be some leeway with finishing early or popping out for an appointment here or there. It would be unpaid but I think I could make that work.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experience fostering, particularly as someone that's single? I would primarily like to foster children of secondary school age.

Given my position, I know its going to be very difficult, I'm just trying to figure out how very difficult its going to be.

Struggling with overworld.

Hey guys.

I'm about 60 nights in and still haven't managed to kill Typhon yet. I've only managed to get to him once. I feel like I was close to killing him as Zeus popped up and helped me, the fight continued for a while, but I ultimately died.

My main struggle seems to be the prometheus fight and keeping track of the two phases where he does the line AOE. I always take a lot of damage from that phase.

I go between the extra DD card and the dmg card quite a bit, but all of my successes seem to be with the dmg card (do more, take less if you have no DD).

I've looked at quite a few guides and I'm pretty sure my cards are set up pretty well. I have the frog and the cat but tend to use the frog. I start with the Zeus keepsake and try to get a different damaging effect on my attack, special and cast.

I mostly use Mel suit and Mel staff as they're the most upgraded atm and seem to get me the best results.

Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of clearing the overworld?

How do I get scales?

Is there any way to reduce the graphics further than the ingame settings allows? I'm playing on integrated graphics and dodging gets really difficult after the game has been running for more than 15 mins.

Do higher doses last longer + protein intake?

Hey guys.

Currently on week 3 of 2.5. Had my first weigh in yesterday and lost 5lbs!

2.5 is working really well for me on the days it works, but I find its only working for about 5/7 days. Day before and the day of the dose, my normal hunger mostly returns. Now, this isn't terrible because having will power for 2 days is a lot easier than having willpower for every day, but I'm worried that I might really slip up in future.

If I move up to 5, does it persist for longer or will it still likely not work as well for those couple of days?

Also, a side question: Has anyone else struggled to hit a high protein intake? I've been told by many people that they were advised that when taking their jabs, they were told to get at least 1.2g of protein per kg to avoid muscle loss. So that's about 120g of protein every day for me. I'm hitting about 90ish per day by including protein with every meal and drinking a protein shake each day but it sort of feels impossible to fit any more in as its quite filling and I'm struggling to eat as it is. Any tips to get more in?

How is exam season going for everyone?

We only do 5 exams at my school and I'm already over it. Locked inside a room with a teenage-toddler that keeps having breakdowns because he doesn't know what 'possibility' is or 'why are there letters and numbers.

Well buddy maybe if you could be arsed to come in more than once a fortnight you'd understand.

How is it going for everyone else?

Is it appropriate to tell your students that your parent(s) or SO has passed away?

For context, this has not happened to me.

Myself and a few other school staff were speaking about this today. I've always thought that the answer would be 'absolutely not' but a surprising amount of people (including the head) said that it was up to that particular member of staff.

The general consensus was something like 'don't announce it, but if you get upset and the students ask why, then you can tell them'. The head said that she would be much more wary at a mainstream school, but because we (PRU) have very strong bonds with a lot of the pupils it would be a good thing to let them know as it would help them practice in an 'uncommon' social situation.

I guess the points made do make sense to me, but I thought, especially at a PRU, that bringing up the death of parents could potentially bring up a lot of trauma for certain children.

Interested to see what everyone else thinks.
