Hello world. This is my first post here. I had an idea and you guys can tell me if it’s stupid and I’m an idiot. Just thought you miss 100% of the shots you don’t take. To get to the point I had a windows laptop last year and I literally just wanted to trade it for a same valuation MacBook (don’t kill me). What I learned is this process is not very easy there’s a lot of research and messages to be sent on places like eBay and Facebook marketplace. Well what if there was a place you could go, submit your item with photos and information. And have REAL people like me who enjoy researching tech and finding deals to evaluate your item and give it a verified price. Ideally this would be a quick process (within 24-48 hrs). It would then be given a price range and from there you can request trades from others in the same or lower brackets. I know some places do this, but maybe not to this level. The idea is special I think because of the human verification and I want to stress this would NOT have a buy option…strictly trades.
The reason I came here for this is for 1. To be told I’m an idiot if this is stupid. 2. If this were to ever go anywhere at all, I’d need people like you. People who enjoy doing research to come together in idk a discord or something and get it off the ground.
Eventually I could see this being profitable, but the first few years would just be about building popularity, then when we have a big base of users attach a SMALL fee to each transaction
