I took over 3 resets before increasing my rank to Grandmaster. I'm mainly using Highlander Portalcraft since the start of the set, tho I use other decks too, and I had a win streak right before the critical trial to GM. During trials, Cutty somehow evaded me (even his tutor spell), or I bricked so badly early. RNG somehow knew how to fuck with me, but I'm genuinely curious how many times the trial can reset.
