Select English Cambridge F.C. - Players Wanted for New MCR League Football Team (2026/27)
Select English Cambridge F.C. are looking for players ahead of entering the Cambridge University MCR League for the 2026/27 season.
The league is made up largely of Cambridge college teams and follows the university calendar, with the season starting in October and breaks matching college terms. Fixtures are played on some excellent college grounds around Cambridge.
The idea behind the team is fairly simple: proper 11-a-side football in a competitive but generally more relaxed environment than a lot of traditional Sunday league football.
There’ll be:
- no compulsory training
- an optional weekly 7-a-side training game
- summer friendlies/training games before the league begins in October
The aim is to build a side capable of competing well in the league, while still keeping football enjoyable and sustainable over the course of the season.
