I'm betting that North's role in season 3 will be very short, meaning we'll see him in 1 or 2 episodes at most in the prison storyline where he'll help Matt, but he'll probably die at the hands of his former colleagues because there will probably be some riots in the prison and North will fight, for example, with Powell and that someone will stab North in the stomach with a scythe. That's my theory. It's good that they showed his redemption, although it's clear that he felt remorse because Powell lied to him.
