Home security system

My mother with Alzheimer’s is still living at home alone and is resistant to any options to bring in help. She has Sundowning and is extremely worried about someone breaking in. She lives out in the country less than 5 minutes from my brother and I live an hour away.
Her current focus is getting someone to live with her so she isn’t scared. Wants my wife and I to move in so she can take care of my wife who has a terminal illness. She doesn’t realize that she is not capable of caring for someone else. I can’t move my wife into my mothers home or move my mother into my home because it would turn my wife who is just trying to make it through the day into a caregiver for my mother while I’m at work. My brother is unable to move her into his house because it is too small.
Has anyone used a security system to help reassure their parent they are safe while also allowing me to monitor for wandering? We have disabled her car but so far she hasn’t wandered.

I bought a new smart tv last week Philips brand. Got it home. Set it up and then tried to pair the cable remote to the tv so I only needed 1 remote to use the tv. No luck would not power or control volume.

Used the chat option in the app to troubleshoot. Ended up in a continuous loop.

Called tech support. After 30 minutes of trying the same thing I had already tried. The chat told me I needed to call tech support. I was already in tech support so I hung up and tried calling again.

Attempt 2 spoke to a human. Repeated for a 3rd time the same steps that don’t work. Tech decided I needed a new remote.

Remote arrived tried to program no luck so called tech support. They tried no luck. Scheduled a tech to come to the house.

Tech at the house tried to get the remote to work by doing the same thing I had already tried multiple times. Went out to his truck and got a new remote. Still no luck. He told me nothing else he could do and I thst I should have purchased a Samsung.

Contact the tv manufacturer they asked me if the remote that came with the tv was working. Yes it does, then nothing the mfg can do call Comcast.

Called tech support again. They tried same thing thst has been tried atleast 20 times now and decided I needed a new remote again despite my protests.

Received 2 new remotes. Neither will control the tv.

Called tech support again. They tried to connect the remote no luck. Decided to send a senior tech out.

Senior tech has arrived! He tried to connect a remote. It doesn’t work so he goes to get another remote out of his truck. Tries to connect it no luck. Tells me Xfinity/ Comcast can not fix the problem. He is sorry nothing else can be done I will have to use 2 remotes.

I now have 11 remotes to control the cable box and just 1 remote that can control the volume.

Anyone have a suggestion on my next step to try and get 1 remote to control both my cable and the volume on the tv.
