Passport owner - waving?

Just wanted to check if we're doing the wave at each other because I've had at least two other Passport owners wave and honk as we passed each other 😃 Didn't realize it was that kind of vehicle! But I like it.

Rattling in new 2026 Passport

Hi all. Glad to have found this subreddit; I love my new Passport but I have one small issue that's driving me sort of crazy and I hope I can get some other experiences here to tell me if it's normal or not.

Basically there is a weird sort of rattle that seems triggered by hitting a bump. But it's a very consistent, mechanical sound which makes me hesitant to really call it a rattle. I'll do my best to describe it: a short kind of 'ka-chunk' mechanical click that seems to come from the top of the dashboard OR sometimes from the rear of the vehicle. It doesn't happen every time I hit a bump, but about half the time? It's hard to pin down but it definitely is an up and down motion of the car that does it.

I've tried everything I can to pinpoint it, including removing every loose item from the car (glasses, manuals, charging cables, keys, everything) and it still happens. At first I thought it was the 'shutter' sound from my Vantrue dash cams (one front, one back) which is almost exactly the same sound I'm hearing but no -- even unplugging the cams has no effect.

Has anyone had a similar experience? Or advice on troubleshooting rattles and weird noises?
