Hi,

so I've been riding my trusty 125 for 2 years now, and I'll be doing my full licence soon, so I'm doing a bit of window shopping of what could potentially be my next bike, and I came here to see if any of you have some suggestions.

I'm really flirting with the idea of a Duke 390/Husqvarna Svartpilen or a CBR500R(I'm a huge fan of the sporty looks and apparently not sporty ergonomics).

I'm really looking for a middle-weight or at least what was considered a middle-weight in the past 400-600cc, as I know I don't need crazy power and crazy cc(and all the heft that comes with it)

I'm looking for a do-it-all bike, it would be used for commuting 70% of the time and then on the weekends for shorter trips and some twisties. I don't do off-road. The most off-road the bike would ever see is some gravel, and even that very rarely. I don't have any brand/style preferences. I just want something fun, and something that can easily be used every day and not feel like it's lacking(like my current 125).

I really like the idea of the Duke, but I'm not sure if it would feel like it's lacking in power. I don't trust reviewers in that much as I've seen some of them start calling the 600-800 cc class as middleweight, which at least I don't agree with but that's a topic for another day. I don't want too much of a bike I'd rather it being a bit slower, lighter, and less powerful, and me enjoying it to it's full potential than having a rocket that can't be used properly.

I'm 175cm/5.7 feet, and I 100% want to buy used, and I am from Europe. And apart from 125s I don't have any big bike riding experiences, I have ridden a VFR 800 and I did fall in love with the sound, and the speed, and it surprised me how such a big bike corners so well but I did feel like that bike was too much for me, more bike than I'd ever need.

I hope this is not too long and not too confusing. Thanks in advance
