Changed housing details but rent not being paid
Hi i hope someone can advise me. Both disabled adults under 25 but both have LCWRA so should get our rent paid.
19th February me and my husband moved house. This is with another tenant. This person was already in the property but when we moved. We all got a new tenancy agreement. Going from the flat mate, to all 3 of us.
I told universal credit the same day.
14th of march. I messaged in journal (new statement was out) that our housing hasn't been added. Asking what to do.
19th March. Told I had insufficient evidence. The housing association said we weren't tenants.
I replied asking what to do. Becuase we have the tenancy agreement with our names on it.
Told to phone housing association.
Housing association say that they recieved the request on 19th and hadn't fully processed us being on the tenancy until 21st (despite our names being on it from 19th).
25th March. I give up waiting for work coach to message back. I send another "change of details" thing with the same information as before.
26th March. Work coach says he is glad ive done that, and they will ask housing association to "check for it"
1st of April I put in change of details. Because the rent has gone up (this was also prompted in my journal to complete).
15th April. New statement is out, with no rent!!! I ask work coach why its not been paid, ask if I need to do anything.
23rd April. work coach responds I need to fill it all in again with the housing association name in all capitals instead of capital letter at the start of each word.
I refil all the forms again with this change.
29th April. Work coach says he is sorry about all this. And will phone me if he needs anything else but believes it should be sorted.
3rd of May. I phone the UC number to ask if it will be sorted this month because we really need to pay the rent. Woman on the phone says she doesnt know. I ask if she can book and appointment with my work coach. She said no I have to put a message in my journal.
I put message in journal. He doesnt respond.
14th of May (today) statement is out, no rent added!!!!
I've asked in the journal whats going wrong but he normally takes a while to reply so doubt it will be fixed before rent is due on 20th.
What am I actually supposed to do? I've explained through this whole process if they need anything let me know. I've always gave all the information the same day they request it. Im so stressed and now going to be 3 months behind on rent in a new flat.
I've tried phoning and they dont know anything, ive been to the job centre twice but becuase my work coach works at a different centre they say they cant help with this.
