Encounter+, worth it?

I’m a dm, slightly new, who is running an in person game. I’m trying to find resources to help gameplay and storytelling. I currently use obsidian for notes, quests, and overall storytelling purposes and trying to use encounter+ for initiative tracker. I generally have a wall mounted tv to cast my stuff to such as monster art, npcs, and maps. I’m trying to learn encounter+ but had some problems revealing just the initiative tracker. What do you use for in person game? I’m coming from pen and paper too.

I’m new to graphic art. I am thinking of using krita for dnd dungeons and maps. But I am also interested in learning how to make character art. I’ve seen many images that this community has created and I feel like all I can do is a shabby stick figure. Any tips for a newbie?
