I completely agree with this decision. I think everyone should like their own comments. If you don’t like your comment, why post it?

Off season almost over guys. Just one last drop of these nasty “off season memes” and we are done

Nothing I said is p***tical*. If you think saying “mocking unfounded conspiracy theories to be p**itical. Then everything is.*

Curry barker has a better shot at best director this year than Spielberg, and James Cameron. Both of which have released movies this year

My dream YMS review would be if he ever got around to reviewing spiral and old… but film it like it’s still 2021.

I would love a review where it’s set to look like 2021. Like he’s got a long black wig to look like how he used to, He mentions Covid Lockdown, talks about up coming movies that are now older than kindergartens, and states things that intentionally will age badly (something like “these saw traps aren’t nearly as bad as modern Twitter. I mean I can’t imagine Twitter getting any worse as long as Jack Dorsey is owner. Please anyone take over his place”).

I feel like it’s a fun creative twist that justifies reviewing these movies.

Especially with spiral considering a new saw movie has come out since. Writing it in hindsight but presenting it as in the moment.

What is your least favorite movie review?

This is a hot take but mine is Red Letter Media’s Obsession review.

https://youtu.be/MZIrD6xnkL0?is=5Va6c8c7OwcPbBHj (starts at about 13:57)

I’ll admit it. Not a big RDL guy. So I have no nostalgia for them. So this particular style of review is not my thing.

No rehearsal. No list of notes. Just stuff off the top of their heads. It feels like they didn’t bother doing a second take OF ANY LINES. There are long ass pauses between sentences (and sometimes words) that aren’t edited out. Like I said if youre used to it then okay. But it was so odd for me.

Some other complaints

They get names wrong constantly. (How do you forget bear) they did it So badly I thought they were making a joke. They get Nikki and Sarah confused then get Sarah get confused for Emma (who isn’t in the movie)

They are unintentionally condensing in saying the way it got so popular because of TikTokers making it the next chicken jokey. Which was so strange. If you’ve seen the movie you see why it’s so popular. It absolutely stands on its own merit. It’s populism social media due to its themes being discussed. I don’t think “this movie is just chicken jockey. People go for the meme”. I think I just misunderstood him because …what😂 I don’t think this movie is the next chicken jokey.

also the whole “people post clips of it to social media” …isn’t exclusive to this movie? I feel like I’m missing something. I don’t think that’s even noteworthy. To point out you saw a meme of this movie on twitter. Im not sure what he’s trying to say. I saw so many clips of disclosure day on twitter and that movie wasn’t popular or a meme. Also I know of 20 TikTok’s I saw of sheep detective. That’s just movies today. If you’re in movie communities then you’ll see movie clips, right? What’s noteworthy

“It’s so strange for this kind of a movie to become that kind of meme” yeah I agree and that’s why I don’t think it has. I haven’t seen clips of people yelling at the screen or doing anything chicken jokey related. I just think you are confused on how TikTok works. I think he just heard it was big on TikTok and assumed incorrectly. It’s popular on TikTok due to people analyzing and breaking it down. People film the screen so the community can analyze and breaking it down.

Then bro admits he just walked out of the theater halfway through. Seemed like a strange decision to review a movie you weren’t able to see when you openly want to finish. Finish it before reviewing it. That’s gotta be like a YouTube thing where he wanted to get those views while the movie was relevant rather than do the best he could at reviewing it Admittedly fair, but then just tag out and get someone in your place who has seen it.

Also strange that I’ve (and others) referred to this as “the loudest movie I’ve seen in awhile and hits you out of the gate. I figured her process of going obsessed wouldn’t be that quick” then he says“this movie is so quiet and starts slow” just did not reflect my experience.

They spend more time on this mildly interesting anecdote about annoying people in the theater than they do Inde Navarrettes performance. It’s a main discussion point of the movie and they genuinely almost don’t discuss it.

The only mention of the usage of shadow and color palette is like vaguely critical.

Lastly

Bro asks “does he 🍇 her?” I’m sorry if you walked out post restaurant scene you should know the answer. Makes me think he was unreasonably DISTRACTED to the point where he saw the equivalent of a trailer. That shouldn’t be a question you can possibly ask.

This was a rough watch.

In obsession (2026) Sarah has a crush on Barron and in the bible Sarah was a Barren (genesis 11:30) this symbolizes I’ve went to deep and am looking for something that’s not there

In Obsession (2026) the actors are able to convey such uncanny facial expressions because the director spent years studying and perfecting the art of making disturbing and unnatural facial expression because he’s is a YouTuber
