Hi there - I've just become a naturalized German citizen through ancestry and my wife and I are planning a September trip. We plan to visit Berlin and Memmingen (where my ancestors are from) over a span of 5 days.

My questions:

1. Should we fly into Berlin and eventually make our way south? If so, I assume Munich is the easiest airport to fly out of if we end in Memmingen?

2. Should we do the reverse? Fly into Munich (or a different airport) and make our way north to Berlin?

3. What's the easiest way to travel between Berlin and Memmingen?
