I cloned my old 250gb m.2 thats like 10 years old onto my new 4tb m.2 and have been going through hell for the last 5 hours. I cloned it using clonezilla and whenever I tried using the setting that rebuilds the partitions to fit the new drive it just bricked it.
After lots of troubleshooting, I decided to try the other option which directly copies the partitions to the new drive and leaves a bunch of empty, unpartitioned space and thought I could just extend it however when I tried to extend it I realised the healthy recovery partition was in the way.
After doing some more research, I tried deleting the recovery partition, which turned out to be literally impossible. So I was left with the 1 remaining solution which doesn't involve wiping the drive which is using 3rd party software to convert the dynamic drive to basic without losing my files. However, every single piece of software I could find was paywalled.
Does anyone know of a free software that can do this or any other solutions?
