My friend is telling me about this book she read as a kid but we couldn't find it anywhere.
There is a family of bunnies living in a burrow, then one of the bunnies, it's either a little boy bunny or a blonde girl hurts their foot and it gets really big and swollen. Then they heal, and at some point, the other character (either the boy bunny or the girl, my friend can't remember who it happens to first) gets their foot hurt and it's the big joke of the book, it's like an ironic moment. It's a children's picture book with a cartoon-y art style, but the backgrounds are more detailed. Also she says that either the bunny or the girl was mean. Probably. She was born in 2008 and would've started kindergarten in 2012 if that helps.
