Myself Vyshnavi Chowdhary. My ammamma’s house used to be there and my grandpa worked in HSL. Even my parents got married there in Scindia in the 90s. I used to go there literally every weekend, holidays, summer holidays and almost my entire childhood was spent there. In 2009 when I was 5, we moved to Canada and ever since then whenever I think about that place I get very nostalgic

That area used to be very lush green and peaceful. I still remember the rainy days there, they used to feel so soothing and I can still remember the smell after rain. Mainly the summer days too, the clean air mixed with mangoes smell around the entire area… idk why but those memories still feel so fresh in my head

There used to be this huge ground beside a school/college and the whole border used to be fully covered with trees. Man that Sai Baba temple there is literally a core memory for me 😭 and there was also that temple on the highlands beside the Sai Baba temple where we used to go by climbing all those stairs

The colony roads, quarters, parks, playgrounds, evening vibes, people sitting outside houses… that place still feels like home to me even after all these years

I’m coming to Vizag this July for the first time since 2009 and I’ll definitely visit the place again. Honestly feels unreal after so many years

I badly want to connect with people who lived there during my time or even before that or even now. And if anyone has old pictures of Scindia / Gandhigram / HSL quarters from those days please share them with me 😭 even random old photos are enough. It would honestly mean a lot to me and especially my mom because she spent almost her entire life there till marriage and before moving to Canada. She completed her schooling and college there too
