Basically the title. I recently stumbled across a short (which in classic yt short fashion did not say what the film's name was) where a group of scientists sustained an ape in a state half-way between life and death. They can bring it back to life at any time they want, but they chose not to (for reasons the 60-second time limit of yt shorts failed to include). This strikes me as a bit iffy from an ethical dimension. If they can literally hand-wave the monkey's life back, then isn't keeping it dead (or in this case keeping it half-death) kind of restricting the monkey's right to live? If a person is gravely injured, but you have the necessary First-aid skills to save them, then even if you didn't cause the injuries, I think you'd still have a moral obligation to save that person.

Edit: if anyone can tell me what this film might be based on that description then I'd really appreciate it
