For those who homeschool for PreK or K (4 - 5 years) how was your experience?

My son currently is in pre-K for three-year-olds, it’s 2 and a half hours 3 times a week. I am exploring the option of not sending him next year for a few reasons. A big factor is he is sick 24/7, and I have been sick now all the time too almost with no breaks.

This affects life so much and definitely his mood and motivation. Which doesn’t seem worth it for so a few hours a week when I can do my own activities with him as I am currently a SAHM. I am aware we still will get sick but I imagine it’d be alot less.

Socialization is the main benefit, I wonder how others made sure they still got enough interaction?

How was your experience? What did your days look like? What kind of things did you do each week or teach?

Any tips or resources?

On a separate note I am also considering homeschooling for Kindergarten/ delaying a year. It’s too early to say for sure but I think he might thrive better than a rigid 6+ schedule. He’s the youngest in his age group and a bit more immature, I just want to do what’s best for him! And educate myself better on the topic.
