I wanted to book pico ruivo for sunset for end of this month. Problem is typically end of may , sundown is at around 9pm. The slots only go up until 5:30pm. Can i just book the latest slot (5:30pm) and go later (at like 7pm or 8pm)? Will the rangers send us back? Has anyone made any experience with this yet?

Me and my partner are visiting madeira at end of this month. We wanted to book the hike "PR1 | Vereda do Areeiro até ao Miradouro da Pedra Rija" - only to visit stairway to heaven and then go back. I never actually asked my girlfriend if she wants to be girlfriend , so i was gonna ask her there with a ring. Turns out it's fully booked out for 8am. If we go at like 6 am and are out by 7:30-7:45 (so we see the sunrise , but before the official time starts) Can we go there even w no booking? I heard there might be a gate stopping you now - is that true and does it stop you?
