Salam folks! I'm 26M, Alhumdulillah. Born and brought up in Makkah, still living here. I'd love to know what your first thoughts or impressions were when you saw the Ka'aba for the very first time honestly, I never got to feel that moment myself. Growing up here, Masjid Al Haram was more like our go to hangout spot. We'd sit on the second floor, nap there, mess around, treat it almost like a picnic spot. It was a completely different experience compared to what most people go through. I'd really like to hear your thoughts on Makkah too. It's changing fast these days, and not always in a good way.

I need your opinion and advice on something that's been on my mind.

I'm really interested in joining a well-known perfume company in Riyadh. I have a huge passion for the world of fragrances and I've spent time learning about it and reading up on it out of personal interest.

Over the past few months, I've designed 10 different concepts for their website, and I also have ideas and strategies that I believe could genuinely add value to the company and make it stand out more from its competitors.

The problem is, I’ve tried contacting all the hiring managers I could reach, but unfortunately, I haven’t received any responses. I even spoke to one of the HR staff on the phone, and he said he would help me or send the designs to the relevant department, but that never happened. I later checked the site analytics and confirmed that the links hadn’t even been opened.

I’m willing to work 12 hours or more a day if I get the chance with them, not because someone asked me to, but because I’m really excited about working at this company and I believe I can offer them something special.

If you were in my position, what would you do? How can I get my ideas to the right people or get just five or ten minutes to showcase my work?

Any advice or personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

المشكلة أني حاولت أتواصل مع جميع المدراء المسؤولين عن التوظيف اللي قدرت أوصل لهم، لكن للأسف ما حصلت أي رد. حتى كلمت أحد موظفي الموارد البشرية بالهاتف، وقال إنه بيساعدني أو يرسل التصاميم للقسم المختص، لكن هذا ما صار. وتأكدت بعدين من خلال تحليلات الموقع إن الروابط ما انفتحت أصلًا.

أنا مستعد أشتغل 12 ساعة أو أكثر يوميًا إذا حصلت فرصة معهم، مو لأن أحد طلب مني، لكن لأني فعلًا متحمس جدًا للعمل في هالشركة وأشوف نفسي أقدر أقدم لهم شيء مميز.

لو كنتم مكاني، وش بتسوون؟ وكيف ممكن أوصل أفكاري للجهة المناسبة أو أحصل على خمس أو عشر دقائق فقط أعرض فيها شغلي؟

أي نصيحة أو تجربة شخصية راح أكون ممتن لها جدًا.

Holy Moly! Just checked there are about 110 of them. This was a lot. Now note that some of these are still wip. I don't know what I should do with these. Uploading them to the Framer Marketplace will take a whole lot time. Let me know what you think I should do.

Hey folks! I built around 19-20 premium page transition effects in Framer. But I've hit a problem.

I'm on Windows, and everything works fine there. But I just tested on my iPhone/iOS, and the page transitions don't work. There are no animations, they are instant transitions.

If any Framer dev out there knows how to fix this, hit me up.

PS: Whoever solves it gets all my page transition code components.

• Would you actually use something like this in a real project?

مو عارف ليش، بس الموضوع يعصّبني. يعني كأنهم يحاولون يسرقون ثقافة أحد ثاني. كأنهم يحاولون يكونون أشخاص ثانيين. أنا فعلًا أشوف إن الحكومة لازم تسوي شي حيال هذا. مثلًا تسوي نظام جديد يحظر "تقليد ثقافات الناس الثانيين أو شي كذا"

يمكن أنا أبالغ في التفكير، بس أنا فضولي أسمع وجهات نظر ثانية. تشوفونها تقدير للثقافة، ولا تقليد للثقافة، ولا أصلًا مو موضوع كبير؟ يسعدني أسمع أفكاركم.

Hey everyone,
I came across a few TikTok videos recently where a Pakistani couple who seem to be trying to act like "Saudis". I'm a non-Saudi myself, but I was born and raised in Makkah Alhamdulillah, and I genuinely love and respect for Saudi culture and the people here.

For some reason, it infuriates me. Like they are trying to steal someone else's culture. Like they are trying to be someone else. I really think the government should do something about it. Like make a new law banning "imitating other people's cultures or something"

Maybe I'm overthinking it, so I'm curious to hear other perspectives. Do you see it as cultural appreciation, cultural imitation, or is it not a big deal at all? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Hey there folks! So I recently submitted somewhere around 20 paid components on the Framer Marketplace inspired from codrops and a while ago I received this notice. Right now I've archived some of my components that were 1:1 copy from codrops. My questions are,

Firstly, Is he correct about all of the copyright infringement stuff or just making it up. I mean he doesn't have an official email either. So that made me a little sus tbh. Let me know what you think of this?

Secondly, some of components were modified for the Framer marketplace, like I made changes to it that weren't on the original ones, are those in the same count too?

Also, I saw and know a lot of people who sell components into the Framer marketplace inspired from such third party websites. I mean Framer's got to know that right?

What do I do now?

Hey there folks! I recently submitted my component in the Framer marketplace and unfortunately it got rejected. The reason they provided didn't make much sense to me. they said "It lacked originality" and "Doesn't look much practical". I'd like to get your thoughts on it.

The way this component works is by adding triggers inside of Framer and making sure the scroll trigger name (or the scroll section) matches the same name as in the component.

I made 2 versions of it. Let me know which one looks better. And would love to get your thoughts on this.
