I’m noticing that every time I see a diagram of a sump pump basin, most have drains In them for groundwater ect. Ours is just a concrete basin with no pipe or anything. We just a have a sump pump that empties the water through a pvc pipe that’s hooked to our main drain line. Is this normal?
We have an experiencing drain gurgling, and our toilet water gurgling when the sump pump is running. I noticed that it is piped into our main plumbing line that goes into our septic. I’m reading online that that is not normal but the plumber we had over says he sees it all the time. I’m just trying to determine if this is an issue and we need to reroute the sump pump outside and not into the main house drain line. Or could the gurgling from this be our septic failing or maybe a clogged air vent? Help!
