Looking for a good Field Book notebook.

I ordered a generic leather cover for field books off Aliexpress. I like it but I need refills for it.

It came with an even more generic refill. Had cream colored pages but sadly two staples holding it together, would prefer stitched. Was using a Jinhao A10 fine with Diamine Midnight. What surpised was how the ink dried. Was getting fat lines but I loved the way it looked when dry. The paper was not sucking in the ink but it was not acting like it was coated either, dry time was still very quick. I need this as an edc paper. I have an email into the seller regarding about his refill source.

Looking for some suggestions on field note refills. Cream paper, not too rough or too smooth. Awesome if it has tearout pages. Currently trying Walmart Penn and Gear...horrible! Ok it's usable, doesn't soak through but the ink dries looking like it was written with a bic pen. Very usable at work but just makes me feel blah. I need as much joy at work as possible.

2026 streaming stick

Got tired of waiting for the $60 box to come into stock locally.

WTF Walmart, $40, Voice AI front and center but the remote does not have a microphone? Thankfully I have a few extra old voice enabled remotes. Also stock remote seems a little laggy compared to an old Google remote. Hopefully a remote firmware upgrade will fix the stock remote.

Once I change the launcher, things are pretty good. Stremio and Tivimate load a little slow but work and feel fine when in use. I like that my TV's USB port seems to power the stick well. Like that it's type C. Maybe slightly better than my old $19 box.

If you have a $19 box or if that now $24 box is still on your Walmart shelf, I would suggest sticking with that. The stick device at $40 is just not a good deal. I bought it out of curiosity. I'll be keeping it though. Spend more for the new pro when available over $40 for the stick.
