Teradek bolt 6 in the O2 arena

Heya all
I’m not in the broadcast space I’m a focus puller so forgive any stupid questions.
Ive got a job shooting in the o2 arena in London during a sold out concert and I was wondering if anyone has experience using teradek bolt 6 1500s for wireless video feed in such an environment.
The current plan is to only run a single camera wireless which would be an onstage steadicam the video village will be positioned just off stage left so it’s not a massive distance it would need to cover

I was also wondering what the longest bnc run you’d recommend I run would be before needing to convert to fibre (which would involve hiring a team to do that)

Any other advice appreciated!!

Introducing: THE FIZBUSTER

Heya all! Thought I’d pop a post in here since quite a few people have reached out after my other posts about the Ronin 4D build.

The FIZBUSTER Allows you to mount your own Fiz/Rangefinder onto the Ronin 4d via the 2 15mm rods as long you can stay within the 1kg weight limit

The FIZBUSTER bracket is now available to preorder over at
thepinkcameraco.com

Preorders are £60 total — a £25 deposit now, with the remaining £35 payable upon shipping.
I’m aiming to start shipping on 1st October. Preorders will close on 1st October, and from then onwards the FIZBUSTER will be available for £75.

International shipping is also available, so if you’re outside the UK you can still preorder. Shipping costs will vary depending on destination.

The setup has been tested with:

• 2 × cforce Mini motors
• Cine RT
• Thypoch Simera-C lenses

It’s also been tested with:

• 2 × HEDEN LM40 motors
• Cine RT
• Thypoch Simera-C lenses

If you ditch the focus bug, it should also work fine with the Cooke SP3s, although please do your own measurements before ordering to make sure your setup will fit.
The bracket is 3D printed to keep the weight down.

The pictures above are renders from the cad model and pictures of a preproduction model I’ll update this post mid week once I’ve completed the official product shoot

Also for anyone interested in getting hands on I will be down at CVP Fitzrovia in London on Tuesday the 8th September doing a demo and will be happy to Awnser any questions

Ronin 4d cforce UPDATE

Got some more pics of my ronin 4d build I posted last week from prep today for anyone interested

Decided to go the backpack route to save some weight on the camera body since this jobs fairly run and gun but you could definitely run without it

Using a custom bracket to mount the Focusbug and the cforce motors along with a custom printed press on cforce gear to get far enough back for iris control
You could probably ditch the lcube if you could find some sort of serial extension and go straight into the ria

The dummy battery is actually for a 416 since that’s what the rental had on hand ideally I’d customise the Alvin’s cables v mount plate to add some power distro and a xlr input

Been working on this bracket for a while and finally got it working well enough

Currently the c force mini is there for counterweight but could also be used for iris if you wanted to

1/4-20 unc cap bolts with a 4mm hex key on the head?

Bit of a random one, and I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I need to source some 1/4-20 unc cap bolts with a 4mm hex on the head so I can tighten them with a 4mm hex key

would be great if anyone could point me in the right direction.

Mounting to a mast

Gotta mount an fx3 to the mast of a sailing boat for a commercial next week and thought I’d put it out for ideas

Ideally need to be able to have it on a small tripod head

It will be in a scuba housing so needs to be able to take the weight
