Wet hay dumb question
They won't eat wet hay but seriously, how do y'all keep it dry in environments that rain often? I'm really curious how you guys address huge round bales? That's just curiosity as we won't use them for ours. Same with mineral blocks. Mine won't eat loose minerals. They love the blocks and I can put one in their enclosure but I like to have more than 1 and then spaced far apart to encourage visiting/grazing all areas of pasture. They're enclosure is a 3 sided with ample room for them but adding enough hay and minerals in there could get a bit snug. Plus the 2 daughters like to want to eat in the EXACT same spot as each other so they act like siblings do over it 🙄🤣 (We moved them in to the stalls when it was really bad winter weather, which does have more room since we combined 2 stalls, but the barn is not directly fenced in to the pasture to simply keep it in there all year.)
Do you really swap out hay every single day? It can rain at any given time here in Tennessee and they're goats so they'll eat when they want. Somehow that seems excessive.
Trust me, our girls are well loved (ok, spoiled) but they are livestock and I'm trying to be practical about this. Hope all this makes sense. Treat time picture for tax 😍
