Stepped on a Geyser
Just got back into the game after a few years. I hadn't tried Odyssey yet. so picked up the expansion. I'm enjoying the xenobiology gameplay loop and took a 1,000LY jaunt outside the bubble to snag some first footfalls and discoveries. Also, trying to figure out how to find bacteria took me quite a bit of time.
Anyways, I picked up a nice load of samples and started making my way back to the bubble. On the way I landed on a planet with biological and geological features - I hadn't seen a geological feature yet and was curious about how they work. It was a geyser and I took out the scanner to see if that could interact with it in anyway. I got too close and was unceremoniously launched into the lower atmosphere, after which I rendezvoused back with the ground at high velocity.
That's one way to learn lol. Think I'll switch over to trading for a bit to lick my wounds lol. Stay safe commanders!
