Picked this up in Toronto and decided to finally give it a spin today
Had a trip up to Toronto for Miku Expo/Digital Stars, and picked this up at Kops while I was there. Trip was a bit of a mixed bag, but picking up this album after trying to find it in stores for several years was a high point. Oil of Every Pearl's Un-Insides by SOPHIE is such a masterpiece in pop, electronic, and ambient music. This album is nearly a decade old and it's still so ahead of the curve - and I wouldn't be surprised if it still sounded like the future even 10 years out. Sophie was such a generational talent and I'm so glad to finally have her magnum opus on wax.
Reading The Left Hand Of Darkness with this one since this album's really icy ambient sections (like on the song Is It Cold In The Water? really complement the tone).
