i don’t use rym btw. it’s full of people who take music too seriously. nobody can ever take a joke there. also sorry for the x symbol. my phone was being dumb.

I'm very bad at picking "favorites", but this chart is what I've compiled most recently. Still not satisfied with the lack of diversity, but these albums have resonated with me a lot. Any recommendations?

A little over 2 years ago, I made a list of 1,000 albums I wanted to listen to before I died. I’m finally down to the last 100, which one should I listen to next?

(Topster for reference on the second slide)

Any recommendations based off these? Trippy, left-field, folk, and jazz

Loving melancholic stuff with trippy elements lately.

Recommend me what the RYM canon forgot?

Here are some of my favourite albums that I have been listening to recently. I know a lot of these albums are pretty standard picks and quite popular. That is fine by me, as I think many of these records are beloved for a reason, and other people liking something does not make it less meaningful or enjoyable for me. I have definitely been introduced to some of my favourite artists of all time through RYM and subreddits like this one (king crimson, led zeppelin, charles mingus, talking heads, frank zappa and others not included in my topster). But I love listening to music and am hoping to discover some music that has maybe been overlooked from the RYM canon. I would love to hear some of your recommendations!
