Flight-:

If your gaze could wander past the restless waves,
You would glimpse the dreams I carry in silence.

If that hidden voice that echoes through my soul
Found its way into your heart,
You would finally understand me.

If you drew aside the veil of certainty
And looked beyond the windows you have built around yourself,

If you brushed away the dust of old habits from your eyes,
You would see the world as I see it.

Had you trusted your wings a little more,
You might have walked beside me beneath the same sky.

Had you borrowed, for a fleeting moment,
The colors with which I paint the horizon,

You might have journeyed with me
Through lands untouched by fear.

If the wild intoxication of the heavens
Had kissed your spirit too,

Your sleeping desires would have awakened,
And your heart would have remembered how to soar.

Then perhaps, for a little while,
You would have flown beside me

Not as a follower,
Not as a stranger,

But as a fellow dreamer
Chasing the endless blue.
