Advice on 1st time working/living in Manila/BGC: Female, 30 y/o, single but breadwinner
Hi! I’m female, 30 y/o. It will be my first time to work and live in Manila. I’ll be working in BGC (5th Avenue). I’m now looking for a place to stay, my net income would be around 60 to 65k and I’m also a breadwinner.
For context, never ko pa din na-experience na mag-boarding house or mag bedspace. No idea what it’s like to live with other people other than family/relatives (long-term)
What are your suggestions and best practices for someone like me? Saang area at anong living condition ang best for me? Can you also share monthly living expenses ninyo sa mga nagwowork at nakapag-work na sa BGC?
Here are my options:
- Rent a shared condo inside BGC but will get a solo room
- Rent an apartment near BGC
- Rent a condo near BGC pero budget friendly
Here are my considerations:
- I value privacy and safety, but at the same time, I don’t want to spend so much and would like to save
- Convenience (malapit sa lahat) and easy commute is also important to me since I know na magiging demanding yung job ko. Also, galing po ako Pampanga and di sanay sa malalang commute/traffic 😅
- I‘m also kind of an active person. So a place na pwede maglakad or mag-jog safely after work sana
Can you also share your experience living in shared condo (solo room and/or bedspace), solo condo, or apartment, please?
Thanks in advance! :)
