job application advice

hi everyone!

it had been a minute since I applied to a new role and I recently submitted an application to a new role at a new institution and I am struggling to determine a realistic timeline of how long I can hold on to hope to get a call back for an interview before I should switch my mindset to it most likely being a no.

it’s been about 2.5 weeks since i submitted my application & the deadline to submit was around the same time. do you typically hear back that fast? does it normally take a bit longer?

any insights would help so i don’t hold on to hope for too long!

entertainment/film/tv podcast?

hi all!

i have been thinking about starting a podcast for a little bit now, i am passionate about the film/tv space, which i know there plenty of podcasts in that space already, but i would love to give it a shot to push myself!

i am passionate about discussing films and tv shows but also the business side of entertainment (box office, streaming wars etc.)

i think it would be far more engaging to have others to bounce thoughts off of, none of my friends are that interested.

if anyone is in the young adult range & passionate about film or tv and want an outlet to share your thoughts, please let me know!

late 20’s in Bloomington tips?

do folks who are in their late 20s in bloomington have any tips on how to make it a fun experience & meet new people?

i am late 20s & moved to bloomington for work, not for school at IU and for the most part it’s been so hard to find community here. i don’t love going out to the bars and that feels like the only tip for meeting new people.

it feels like there aren’t many young professionals here outside of undergrad/grad students and now that it’s summer, it’s extra quiet.

any advice would help!
