Feeling frustrated
Hi all, feeling frustrated with my current progress and looking for some input and support.
I’m a 37 y/o F and I’ve been on Wegovy for about 6 months now, am up to the 2.4 dose and have lost a total of 20 lbs (down to 220lbs). I’ve been extremely consistent with my exercise routine since the beginning of this year- I strength train 4 days a week, add moderate cardio on 2 of those days, and stay active walking and playing with my toddler on non-workout days. I’ve also been eating healthier this year, have been diligent about sleep, stress is managed well, and alcohol intake is nearly zero (maybe one drink every 2-3 weeks).
When I hit the 20 lb lost mark at the end of April, I decided I wanted to really focus even more on my diet. I set protein, fiber, and water goals and track my food to ensure I hit those goals while staying in a deficit. I’m also not being overly restrictive- I try to have a little more flexibility on the weekends with my family without going overboard. However, the scale hasn’t budged in weeks and in fact I finished this week 3 lbs up from last month. I can tell a difference in the way my clothes fit and body feels, so I’m trying to focus on that, but I’m frustrated that my weight loss has stalled. I know I’m gaining muscle and body recomp is happening, but I still have a good bit of fat to lose, so it’s frustrating for actual weight loss to be stalled when I feel like I’m doing everything I can.
For now, just planning to stay on track and actually back off on weighing more than once a week, but any input welcomed! Thanks!
