I’ve been living in the city that I am in for 1.5 years. I made a few friends and even met my bf 6 months ago and we instantly clicked. I truly believe him and I are on the same wavelength about morals and values, and I’ve never felt this secure with a partner before (I have never been in a long term relationship though).

My friends I’ve made are soon leaving the city, and my family doesn’t even live in the country, so I’ve made the decision to move closer to them. For this reason, I decided to break up with him. I truly like him and think he’s perfect for me. But he doesn’t want to leave the country as he has never lived abroad and definitely wants to settle soon.

Did I do the wrong thing by breaking up with him?
