SI exercise that is working for me to reduce pain

SI exercise that is working for me to reduce pain

Hi - I recently aggravated my SI joint - it’s been several weeks of intense pain and inability to sit more than 20 min

I started this bridge ( you have to look up perfect bridge) then put belt around thighs and push out during bridge. It is helping

Here is a video talking about what you can do
I hope it helps someone.

Leg symptoms from SI?

Hi all
I am curious if anyone gets leg symptoms like sciatica from SI

I am fused L4-S1 with laminectomy so have no discs there but still get leg cramps and some symptoms like sciatica in lower legs below knee. Could be scar tissue they said but then the emg didn’t show major issues coming from back so they don’t know.

My SI joints have been bad and leg pain heightened. Most people have multi factor issues but anyone with a healthy back and SI issues experience leg symptoms? Thank u

SI pain or something else

Hi all
Background is I had an L4-S1 fusion Feb 2024

Been building back strength , started thinking I need to build back some strength in low back for core ( not just front abs via exercise but the whole core canister including multifidus)
I had attempted a seated iso hold and nothing too crazy but did it for several days 30 sec and decided to try on a Roman chair. 45 degree no real bending just hold. Ok during it.
That was 2 wk ago and my low back ( what seems my si joints ) have been in a lot of pain since. Not standing or walking but sitting long or getting up. I’ll have one or 2 days it seems to be easing up and then bam - back to significant ache and pain.
Of course if feels like it’s also in my tailbone and I’m a bit freaked out the hardware is moved ( even tho they said I fused and I didn’t feel any pop or sharp pain) cuz the pain is across the si region.

Anyone get SI issues that are fused and how you remedy this? Of course no Roman chair holds I know.
Any advice , right now I’m resting doing some gentle glute bridge only and ab holds laying down to get some movement without strain.

Could it be something other than the si irritated ? That’s my guess but I could be wrong. Thank you

Managing cervical spondy

For those with cervical spondy , how are u managing without surgery ? What conservative treatments really helped ?
Also PT ?
Lifestyle changes ( I work at a desk )?

I’m recently diagnosed and had lumbar surgery for slondy awhike back.

I really cannot consider for neck now with other personal situation and am starting PT.

If u avoided surgery how long has it been you are managing conservatively ? Thank you

I have had neck symptoms on and off for years. Always tightness , pain, have “ knots” I my shoulders back and sides of neck. Then about 10 years ago I stared getting a cramp under my jaw like a charlie horse, did PT for it and it would come and go. Fast forward 4 years ago bad car accident. Actually ejected from car seat belt , hit head on roof and broke off headrest from impact. Concussion, smashed legs. My neck was pretty bad but back was far worse. Landed on back on console , shifted lumbar out. It got scary and back unstable, leg weakness and numbness and awful back pain.
Had a lumbar fusion 2 years ago doing well now.
Now about 3 months ago I started getting tingling on side of neck and into face. Comes and goes - worst bending or at night when I lay down to sleep.
This is side I get the charlie horse type cramp under my chin. Also have a cramp in left shoulder blade for a year and possibly realized it’s related. ( I do some stretching for that cramp)

The neck pain was there after the accident but I had bigger issues previously with a lot of injuries. I didn’t really pay it much attention but now this tingling started.

My neck is tight and hurts. I assumed this cramping is hitting a nerve to cause tingling but since it’s been going on a few months , I asked my dr to check it out. X-ray ordered. Results below seems worse than I thought. 53f. I’m going to start PT this week but I’m a bit freaked out my back and neck are so bad. I’m going to do PT and hope it helps. I remember when I did PT a long time back when I started this cramp under chin the guy said it was posture. So I hope it will help. Anything else help anyone with cervical spondy to stabilize it? Could you avoid fusion? Thanks
