Such a unique flower. Made me happy, thought I'd share. Anyone ever eaten the fruit?

My husband just got this text out of nowhere. It's from an 828 number. He has an out of state area code, so they're not just spamming 828 numbers. Not sure why they texted him or how they got his number. I am interested in knowing if this is legit, though.
I'm AuDHD with CPTSD. I've written a trilogy that I'd love to publish but I'm finding the process very overwhelming. I initially tried reaching out to agents, but attempting to follow all their stringent, confusing submission rules only to get rejected over and over was very stressful and degrading. I have plenty more agents I could try for, but I've started, instead, looking into indie publishing now. I'm disheartened by this as well, however, knowing how heavily I'd have to rely on social media. Reddit is the only social media I have and even here I'm mostly a lurker with an occasional post or comment. The thought of posting online daily nauseates me. I used to have Facebook years ago but it was terrible for my mental health and I just prefer to avoid it. The whole process just isn't very conducive to neurodivergence it seems, at least my particular brand.
All of this to say, I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. Commiseration? Local writing group recommendations? Or maybe any thoughts on how to make either trad or indie approaches more palatable as a neurodivergent author? Or if you have a hookup with a publisher, I'd take that too 😄
