Asheville has always been a clash of conservatives just outside of town and liberals within city limits. I’ll bring that up to point out the fact that none of us want this. So who the hell decided that they have the right to watch us?

Was there any specific meeting in regard to allowing these cameras?

Is there any single individual responsible for allowing this to happen?

What legal protections do these cameras have?

What can we do to remove them permanently?

I’m not sure if anyone else saw this but I can’t get the image out of my head. Yesterday evening around 7:30 ish I was on the way to Woodfin from Asheville on 19 just past the UNCA exit and there was a bear that had been hit by a car*. Its back half was almost flattened but the bear was still conscious and moving its head. There were 3 or 4 cars that had pulled over so I decided not to stop as well, but I’ve been thinking about it all night. I doubt this bear could have been rehabilitated, so may death be kinder than man to them, but I was just wondering if anyone had any updates or suggestions on who I should call if I ever come across anything like that again.

I’m usually out of town this weekend, but our plans got canceled and now we have none! Of course I have looked in Mountain express and everything, but just wondering if there was anything interesting I don’t know about going on this weekend? What are you doing?

YAASSSSS THE RAIN GIVES US RELIEF!!!

I love the rain. I know this won't be enough to bring us out of drought conditions, but I'm glad it's here. This would have been an AMAZING spring season if we weren't in drought conditions, with multiple weeks in the 70's instead of going straight into high 80's and low 90's. The earth is heating up, so I'll take all the lower temps, if we can get them. This rain, accompanied by some rolling thunder out here in Candler, has been great. Thinking about dancing in out in it in my skivvies. Love falling asleep too the sound of rain hitting the roof on the front porch. Stay safe out there folks
