One year of daily bdo, suffering mysterious health problems
I got clean pretty recently, mostly because i felt like i had no choice. I was off and on 24/7 bdo for about a year. Never went more than 2 weeks binging because i always had benzos. Ranged from a few a day to just doing it all week.
During this time, i had some problems that were not too serious but definitely connected to the bdo. One being that i gained a lot of weight, was unable to be financially responsible, was vaping (i will only vape if im high, ive never wanted it sober). At this point the writing on the wall was there and i knew that this stuff was really bad for me and my life. I should have quit while i was ahead.
Around the 10th month i started to experience an unusual sensation in my throat. Like something was stuck in it. It got more profound and eventually it was really affecting me. I figured out it was “globus sensation” and that it was connected to gi tract reflux issues, or can be caused by reaction to allergy. I tried different medications, diet, everything but it just kept getting worse. Felt like someone was strangling you. When i got sober, it went away in a matter of days.
The 12th month was really bad. I started having really bad nerve pain in my feet, numbness in legs a bit too. My nerves were so sensitive in my feet that any type of sensation, even just being in the shower would have my crying in pain. At this point i decided i was fucking done.
Bdo has always been rumored to affect your nervous system and gi tract, and i think this is essentially what i experienced. I really wish i knew when these problems with my nerves will subside, its gotten a lot better but im just so scared and anxious now. I still am having a lot of painful neuropathy in the lower ligaments.
This is just my story. I am not trying to scare you from using this drug. I think if you were to use it every Saturday night or something that would be fine. But long term this stuff is ominous cause we dont really know what the effects of this are to our organs and health. I think in the end i will be fine but i just want this chapter to be over soon
