Could Buffalo pry Gauthier out of Anaheim?

Assuming Anaheim matches the Carlsson offer sheet they’d probably have to nuke their already thin depth to also keep Gauthier signed. Buffalo could offer Anaheim a young winger that’s ready in a Oslund/Quinn type of player, help their weak RD by offering a high end prospect in Mrtka and give them some draft capital to help them fill in holes at the deadline.

Adding a young 40 goal scorer could be the move to put Buffalo over the top even if they have to let Krebs walk to give Gauthier the 12-13mil contract he’s probably looking for. Just spitballing but Jarmo is open to the big splash trade and a guy like Gauthier who shouldn’t be available would be a great target

Best part about the Byram trade is…

Jarmo has seemingly learned from his trade deadline mistake. Jarmo wanted to add size and physicality at the trade deadline and ended up Stanley. And while Stanley looked better than I expected him to, he still ended up benched in the playoffs because he just couldn’t keep up with the rest of the roster. The Sabres thrive with guys that can fly so now he brings in a giant, physical defender… that can skate! Crevier’s skating ability from NHL edge stats look really good not to mention his cannon of a shot. The advanced stats also show Crevier being shockingly pretty even in terms of on-ice impact despite getting tough minutes on a leaky Chicago team.

Incredible trade return by Jarmo, and by the sounds of it he isn’t done. If they do end up moving the 4th overall pick it’s got to be for the right guy but with Jarmo seemingly learning from his past trades I’m very optimistic.

I’ve finally finished the Samuelsson Rainbow

It seems like forever ago when I started this collection but I can finally say I’ve got the YG rainbow completed for Mattias Samuelsson!

He was the first player I really went in on collecting and after seeing the Clear Cut Exclusives for sale one day I decided I would make it my goal to finish the rest of the set. The High Gloss took me the longest to acquire but I finally have it!

I took a look to see if I could find how long ago I acquired some of the other notable cards in the set and it seems it took me about 4 years to finally get them all

Terry Pegula to start ruining the away jerseys next season

I would have to assume this means they will start advertising on the home and goat head alts soon too. Really just ruins the clean look of the jerseys
