Positive news on KHL draft pick Prokhor Poltapov

Looks like we might finally be getting some good news on one of the Russian prospect.

According to reports, Prokhor Poltapov is expected to stay with CSKA for one more season before potentially making the jump to North America after his contract expires.

Given how difficult the Russia-to-NHL pipeline has been lately, this honestly feels pretty encouraging. The kid’s compete level and two-way game have looked solid, and he’s been developing against men in the KHL instead of putting up inflated junior numbers.

If he actually comes over in 2027, where do you guys see him fitting into the lineup long term? Middle-six energy winger?

So Benny is a celebrity now?

During Jason Zucker’s last presser, I laughed when I heard him say that.

But he went on to say how impressed he was that Benson didn’t change his game at all in the playoffs, “he plays like that every game, he just got rewarded finally…”

[Matthew Bové] Very candid and powerful from Mattias Samuelsson. He said this year brought him so much joy back into his life. Said there were times in the past where he wasn’t having fun. He added the mental hurdles were at times more difficult than the physical injuries in years past.

Thought I’d bring out my only talisman for tonight.

I got this autographed stick when I was a kid. I received it in 75 but I think it was signed in 74, as Tim Horton is on there. Go Sabres !!!
