Hey folks I was reading this novel called How To Feed an Abyss by Jiang Weiji and is almost identical in it's first chapters. I haven't finished it.
Is this a plagiarism? It's not as good as The Little Mushroom. There is no quiet sadness or eerie stillness in the prose. But but but there are elements that looked like it was clipped out of LM and pasted on this novel. There was the abyss element, there was his arrival to the city element, the rescue element, the necklace element. There were potato soups again. The flying bee thing at the beginning reminded me of LM too.
Also our protagonist is a product of the Abyss too. Our love interest is a general too. They cohabitated etc etc.
Or maybe is it a fanfic of little mushroom? The more I read it the more I'm thinking of Ten Miles and Peach Blossom Debt. I haven't noticed ten miles because I read it first and it was a long time ago. I noticed this Abyss novel because I only read the Little Mushroom a couple months ago.
I'm taking a break bcoz I keep remembering his crying Myaa while people are trying to solve their custody issue. All I can see is his crying face.
