Im looking for a danmei where:

1. the love interest is a professor or a teacher

2. Modern setting

3. The mc should NOT be a student [maybe if its a college setting its okay]

4. Would like it if the ml is the gong but im open to him being the shou too

5. No rape or noon con

I'm having a super hard time finding true horror bl after getting back into bl. I was always fond of horror. Last one I remember reading is Death Spiral which I really liked.

However, going through recent releases on novelupdates and jjwxc, it feels like horror is different now. I can't seem to find long, spine-tingling horror stories. There is a distinct lack of unfair, terrifying, and brutal infinite flow.

Majority of horror now seems to be about overpowered protagonists breezing through infinite flow games. Not just being strong but literally never suffering at any point in the story. On the contrary, they are literally the menace in the novel and I'm feeling bad for the ghosts.

Is this my imagination, am I searching wrong? Are they just harder to find?

hello! so I am not entirely sure if this is the right place to ask this and I’m sorry if this gets asked to often but how can I find people to talk to about the danmei novels I read?
I have read through previous posts regarding this and unfortunately most of the recommendations were discord and even though I have an account there, I prefer not to use it. The main socmed I use is instagram but I find it hard to find people over there :(

If there is anyone here who’d like to connect or knows a good way to find people (preferably not discord or twitter), I’d really appreciate it a lot if you could help out this lost girl right here!

Side note: I actually don’t really have a particular preference and read any danmei, so we could talk about anything! I’m currently on a mission to read every danmei and baihe I come across, even those that aren’t really my cup of tea because I feel like that’s how you find hidden gems and I just would love to talk with others about them:)

This is a rant. I was just reading a good story the romance and tension was perfect. the mc was cute and the ml was a green flag. then suddenly the mc runs away for 3 years. In the middle of university, no goodbye no conflict with the ml just bc he was afraid of the real vs fake young master reveal. its so dumb. what was the point in the money he saved if he is not even using it!?. Didn't you get close to the ml bc you knew it was going to be revealed?.

I’ve been trying to expand tastes and been interested in obsessive / yandere gongs. I’ll admit I haven’t looked all that hard, but the vast majority of what I’m finding has the gong raping the shou.

I’m looking for recommendations that don’t contain rape between the ml and mc. Anything else is completely fine, like stalking, extreme possessiveness, and even confinement. Any genre is fine as well, though I have enjoyed reading a lot of sci fi as of lately.

Hi all! I recently started looking for and purchasing danmei webnovels that don’t have a good MTL or fan translations. It really opens up a whole world of possibilities! So I am desperate for recommendations for dark and angst-filled danmeis that are untranslated.

I love xianxia, wuxia, cultivation, thriller, psychological, and some infinite flow as well. Examples of stories I’ve loved are Erha, si tian guan, thousand autumns, SVSSS, little mushroom, BAB, and the earth is the online.

I would appreciate any recommendations or suggestions you guys have for untranslated gems to buy and read 🙏

Why ( I can do it) novel by Jiang Zi Bei is so addictive. It's a sports novel and as someone who never read any sports novel before I became completely obsessed with it. Being completely obsessed with something even though I wasn't a fan of sports novels or knew nothing about it is such a big thing. When you're already interested in a genre it's way easier to enjoy and like it but the author of this novel has written it in such a beautiful way where you can understand it very easily and actually become obsessed with it as you finish reading it.

Now the question is why was I so obsessed? One thing I noticed while reading is the fact that every chapter ends with suspense which makes you want to read it more and find out what happens next. This novel is very slow burn which I like a lot. It's not rushed at all in any way and not boring as well. They make you go completely crazy while reading it because you want the characters to be together so bad. Another thing I noticed is that every character is WRITTEN so well. Each and every character has their unique personality and mostly in books some characters feel very shallow. As if they are there to make the main couple together. I love how it's not entirely centered to romance and you actually get invested in the esport aspect as well.During the end chapters I was so nervous for who would win the world championship. Each and very round of competition actually stayed with me. I felt all the emotions as if I was there myself. Even after finishing the book I felt so empty knowing that I can't experience this novel again as I did it the first time.

Another reason why this novel stayed with me so much is because I have seen the main character growing into a better person. Jian rong(soft) who used to think that he can win all on his own later actually changed this mentality and genuinely bounded together with his teammates. I also love the fact that at the end he stopped viewing lu boyuan(road) as his idol but more like his partner. I love how he realised that he also has flaws and accepted how he truly is.

I remember the nights I spent crazily reading as the main character finally realised his feelings. It wasn't like omg I'm in love type of thing but it was something that slowly came to be. I loved how he actually sat with his feelings and realised what he is truly feeling as time passed. Which is such a realistic thing because I have also felt the same so I can understand. This novel is engraved in me and I can never forget it. I truly love this author SOOOO much because I did not realise but my favourite books are mostly written by them. They make the words written actually feel real. You feel every emotion that the characters are feeling and I think that TRULY shows that it's such a well written novel.

More 2 days and some hours (according my time zone) Seven seas' licenses panel on ANYC. After on the previous panel on Expo, we got Fei Tian's LOM, who in same Universe of Legend of Exorcism and Dinghai fusheng record + 3 Baihei first time through their new label(The beauty's blade was before they opened the imprint for baiheis). I have some theories for what will wait to us:

1. A new danmei by popular author, I very hope to Meng Xi Shi's next novels (after Peerless and Thousand autumns), maybe "Estranged" or "The fourteenth year of Chenghua". Or maybe Priest's Faraway wanderers after she finished to revisit it.

2. A new popular Baihe. I very hope to "The dragon" but also "Her mountain, her sea" can to be a nice.

3. Maybe also other novels like Het couples Xianxia / Wushia novels like "Chasing Jade", Fu Hua's other novels who adapted to C drama and my biggest hope- Till the end of the moon. I very hope to also Some Korean novels, Het and Bl/Gl.
