Orientation tomorrow, question.
Manager says in order to start orientation I have to bring my ID and my social security card or birth certificate, and that I cannot start without both forms of documentation. Ngl , all my former employers didn’t mind me only having state ID and no physical SS card as long as I at least knew the number. Today, I requested a new SS card online, I’ve seen mentions of other employers accepting a receipt saying that the person applied for a replacement. I initially told her I may be able to bring my birth certificate, and tried to call back earlier to answer my question but she’s apparently unavailable right now and I don’t know for sure if I could get a hold of that certificate today. Could anyone confirm?
TLDR: Do I really need two physical forms of identification for orientation or is my physical ID and the social security number itself enough? Does Walmart accept receipt for applied SS card instead?
