Air conditioner return policy

Ok so standard for an air conditioner or a heater is 30 days with a receipt. Had a lady come in and she had bought it in June. Told her there a thirty day return policy and it was on her receipt. She comes back later and flashes her phone where she had done an online initiated return and it allowed her to do it! I paged my manager and let him handle it.

Question is why do they want us to follow policy but yet the stupid add app lets them do whatever they want to!! Hated seeing the smug look on her face!

Economy must be bad when HAL has to work at Walmart catering to the frail customers.

"We love your feedback, unless its actual feedback"

Love how they always claim they love our feedback and want to hear more from us but they limit us to 100 characters so we have to speak like a caveman to get our points across. Already put in 3 feedback surveys in today because of the update to the opd screen making it a genuine cancer to navigate now

First time on a LIGHT NIGHT to deep zone the cereal aisle, before going on last break on ONS. I was very giggly while and when I finished zoning(the big bag can never stay pretty.. Sadly)

I wanna now why walmart makes the most stupidest decisions like changing the time card so you can't see the complete amount of hours without guessing

I'm a bit irked how celebratory people get when people quit and lose their jobs with this company

To snarky users; why do I care? It's called being human and curious. Something you're not capable of having, selfish pricks. Touch grass.

I am going to clarify that this is specifically for scenarios where, a wal-mart job is *all that they have* going for them for a varied assortment of reasons. It's probably their only income. That's all that they're offered. That's all that they can get. That's the only thing in town. Stuff like that.

If you quit or be 'promoted to customer' with another job lined up or something on the horizon is there for you like a career, then hey, congrats and wishing nothing but the best for you. You deserve better.

However, it kind of bothers me in the other cases where it's like, it's weird how people are just praising the fact that someone just isn't getting income anymore. I mean, if we take away the aspects of Wal-Mart of itself, it is still a job at the end of the day. It is the reason you're able to get by. Because the economy is still trash with no one competent to fix it. The job market is even worse with thousands and thousands of people cut off from their jobs which makes competition very high.

It is never a wise idea to lose a job and not have anything lined up afterwards. Because sure, it might feel great for like the first week of ridding yourself from a Wal-Mart job. But then once the expenses start piling up and you don't have the means to deal with it, you're in for a world of struggle.

Here is something else I don't really get, that if you're tired of working for Wal-Mart, why aren't you utilizing the offerings the company gives? Like, they will pay for your tuition to have a better education. That is them indirectly saying "hey, we know we suck and we know you hate us sooo...why not aim for something better? eh? ehhhh?". So if you're not doing that, then it's on you for why you're not going anywhere.

So yeah, I just find it very weird that for every other 'I quit Wal-Mart' or 'I got promoted to customer' post, the comments are oddly saying "hey, I'm glad you're jobless! go you!" if the post is the case of someone just throwing away a job with nothing lined up for them.

Hmmm..

Team member left a message in red (water tastes off - machine not fixed - filter issue?), our water cooler has been having issues for the last couple of months and was just recently fixed and now the water does indeed have a weird taste to it.

A coach just left a message in gray (water tastes fine. Maybe buy water? You issue!) saw me see him write it down, took the paper down, and put it back up when I left. So I left the message in blue (why is this ok for a coach to write back? If it tastes odd, get it fixed! =) )

Coaches and store leaders are the most stuck up individuals I ever met.

Regular employees doing team lead job , team leads doing coaches job and wtf do the stores leader and coaches doo? Bark orders and stand around but won’t even acknowledge you …. I know y’all probably heard this 1k times but I had to vent.

Slightly less average trailer

Well after big trailers that have cases that are like 2000+, one of them going up to 3500 cases, here we get a slightly less average trailer.

My fiancee was just fired and I'm thinking about quitting

So... To start off I want to say I hate this company

I met my fiancee at Walmart when I started working there I've been thinking about quitting anyways to stay home with our daughter. My fiancee had to call out for a few days because I had emergency surgery 2 months after an emergency c section. I am not allowed to lift anything and I can't take care of her on my own so he put in for loa and they called today telling him it was denied because the fiancee isn't a close enough family connection. The only way to be approved is to be married or immediate family. I just have to say that is absolutely ridiculous.

My torso gets cut open twice in the span of 2 months and he gets denied leave is stupid. Not to mention we have our daughter 2 months ago and he only gets six weeks to bond with her is ridiculous. I got 16 weeks for maternity leave but fathers only getting six is so awful. It's not like I planned for 2 emergency surgeries but he got a call that he was fired not even a face to face conversation. He's been with this company for 5+ years. We were in the hospital and he got a call that he had too many points. They kept saying we have a business to run. He didn't even have enough time from being back from parentity to get PPTO and PTO. But he also lost is uncle before the emergency surgery and he took bereavement but got pointed for that as well. He showed a obituary and everything and he got pointed. We have had employees in our department that call out and leave early without PPTO everyday and are still there and there have been times where someone will come in and see what they were doing for the day and just leave so what's the point if they get to stay. I hate the way he has been treated. It's ridiculous.

What is the point of staying at a company that treats their employees like cockroaches. We are people not gum stuck to the bottom of your shoes. If you showed employees compassion you wouldn't have bad metrics.

Same coworker clocked out 30 minutes early and still leaves his shit like this 😭

And of course it has to be left on too because that's apparently the cherry on the cake

I need to reduce my availability to only one overnight shift

I don’t really speak to my management team much, I usually get left alone to work through my freight and more recently the mods. I’ve had to get a second job and it pays me more and is more oriented to my career path and my degree but I’d like to stay at Walmart one night a week just to maintain some security. Walmart was my first job and I’ve been there over a decade. How can I ask them to please work with me and let me stay? Please be kind. Thank you.
